I didn’t have a lot of time to explore Los Angeles this trip down. I was scheduled to hop on Amtrak in the evening and had to be pretty precise with what I wanted to do. The crumbling, impoverished architecture of some of the areas I explored was really beautiful, but really inflamed my sense of city claustrophobia. It seems impossible to get out of the city sometimes, and I guess it probably is for a lot of people. I ate amazing Mexican food at restaurant that had more bars then windows and drove aimlessly for as long as I could afford to.
Now, normally the last thing I’m interested in is posting a slightly blurry picture of myself in front of a fence. But, this place; The La brea Tar Pits are by far one of the coolest places I’ve been in a long time. The pits and the museum are both really cool and the amount of fossils that they have pulled out of the pits in just mind blowing.
